Apple recently demoed its upcoming version of popular video software Final Cut Pro at the National Associations of Broadcasters trade show. With this imminent release, which Apple is calling Final Cut Pro X, the software will be getting a Cocoa-based, 64-bit version. The UI will be redesigned and support for background rendering is slated to be added as well.
Kinect will offer an SDK for Windows in the near future according to Microsoft, with a beta available as soon as this spring. The Windows SDK will provide developers access to Kinect's range of sensors, making low-level sensor information as well as high-level "skeleton tracking" available for use in applications.
With Windows Phone 7 still lagging a ways behind its iOS and Android counterparts, Microsoft has turned to an aggressive schedule of upgrades to try and catch up. The company previewed its next major update to its mobile platform, Mango, at the MIX11 Web and Phone developer conference.
